I usually upload my photos to EyeEm instead of Instagram as the latter is used for personal purposes. Not to mention that it's actually overcrowded. The reason why I prefer EyeEm is because it's a global platform for both professional and amateur photographers to share their works. I sometimes get inspirations from EyeEm besides photography magazines and slowly improve my skills.
Photography , in my opinion , is not solely about what type of cameras and equipments , but it's about how you capture a moment in the most unique way. I sometimes take pictures with only my phone camera and they turn out to be great. Having a DSLR doesn't make a person a photographer as he/she tends to use the Auto mode instead of the Manual mode -.- What's the point of having such expensive cameras ?
Since last year , I've been adding my photos to EyeEm market , a platform created by EyeEm for photographers to sell and buy images . A few of my photos are shortlisted to be included in the EyeEm Collection at Getty Images tho. I managed to sell one to Getty Images , and they paid me a reasonable price (50% of the net revenue). Not bad. Never expected my photo to be that expensive. I received an amount of USD 5.00 , which means that my photo was sold at USD 10.00 . Much wow because it costs approx RM35 after conversion to Ringgit Malaysia. Not a big deal but it's something worth being happy about.
Here are some of my photos that I personally like :
I have more but they're in other folders. Till next time.
Should I participate in the 'I Am Nikon' Photo Contest ? Contemplating...
